JKIS February Week 2 - Inner critic

For this one I mainly used PanPastel for the face and hair, acrylic for the back ground and modeling paste and NuPastel for the flowers. The quote is a stamp by Donna Downey. I just lived the prompt this week..

Documented Life Project - Week 6 - Layers

This one was great! I created my layers with PanPastel and I lived it... There are 5 layers and total, 3 are PanPastel layers... Had a great time with the prompt!

Journal 52 - Week 6: Windows

This week's spread took a little while to finish, just because I couldn't figure out what was missing. This morning, I finally found out what I wanted... It was the butterflies!

I used gesso to prep my pages. After that, I used 2 colors of Acrylics Silks, a yellow and an orange... (I cam't remember the name, gosh..), After I blended them, I used a tissue paper and tissue tapes by Tim Holtz. The window image is a stencil by Prima and I used lack gesso to create the silhouette. Printed and inked my sentiment... I just loved this free font I found online, the name is Mom's typewriter and here is the link if you want to have it too

And some instructions to install it... I needed it!

The butterflies were quite easy... they are from a stamp set by 7gypsies. After I stamped them in watercolor paper, I used my favorite watercolor (Peerless)  to color them, then I used UTEE to give this shine

That was it for this spread!

Art on!

48 weeks with Donna Downey - Week 10

Week 10
I don't know why it took me so long to finish this one... When it was time to paint the girl... I just blocked... I don't know but here it is and I love it!

Documented Life Project - Week 5

Monthly theme: The blank page and how to face it
Art challenge: Under paper
Prompt: What lies beneath

The under paper I used was just my journal page which I spayed with my homemade dye sprays. Then, I wrote what lies in me... In my heart and in my art.. This was the result...

Journal 52 - Week 5: Televison

Week 5 - Television. I was debating with myself if I should share this one or not. It's extremely personal and portrays the pain and sadness in my heart because of some news the TV shows us. I have always taken some of the sadness of what is goes on with other people, but a lot more after I had my baby, who is 1 now. At the end I decided to share it with you guys because, when I feel down and blue and I open my Facebook, I see these wonderful colorful works of art and you guys save my day! I am back to my happy self again, but I just had to exorcise some of what was going on inside.. Thank you for seeing this...
